Thank You
Sometimes the hosts should thank the guest
For making a weekend the very best
In this case 'tis the thing to do
So the two of us thank the two of you
For what came between hello and adieu
For a weekend of hangin' out and fressin'
For the ongoing horticulture lesson
Thanks to our two-day Carmel vacation
I am now the new expert on drip irrigation
And I do it all day for my own recreation
Now no flower goes thirsty no bed tree or bush
Because as I sit in the dirt on my tush
I poke holes in my tubing where it snakes through the grass
And sniff out all the goof holes where waters amass
Thanks to you I'm a late blooming garden lass
We loved driving the valley and trotting the streets
And those missions at night for candy store treats
Watching the sun slip into the sea without any fuss or noise
Late day cocktails near that window at Roy's
This weekend with you brought endless joys
